Week Seven
In Monday’s class (2/23):
- Attendance and engagement reminder
- Complete presentations for those whose slides were submitting during class last Wednesday
- Collaborative Assignment 1 (CA1) guidelines
- Notes for Project Manager/Researcher roles
- Discord discussion
Between Monday and Wednesday:
- Join a team for CT1 in channels on Discord
- Decide on a bill and roles with your team
- Group identifies meeting #1 (during class/open workshop time on Wed, 2/25)
- Group identifies meeting #2 between Friday (2/27)-Tuesday (3/3).
- PM adds bill and meeting info to CA1 roster.
- Researcher shares an organizing document to CA1 roster and begins adding sources.
In Wednesday’s class (2/25):
- Pete provides overview of Designer/Editor roles.
- Open workshop time for teams, meeting #1
- 1:45p-2:15p in EB 264, or
- 2:50p-3:30p in EB 252
For our hybrid activity this week:
- By Friday (2/27), the Researcher should add a minimum of 10 sources to the organizing document; everyone else should 5 sources each.
- By Friday (2/27), everyone should generate 200 words of analysis and share it within the channel via a document link in the channel.
- By Monday, (3/2) the Designer should open a draft post on writ3152.org (login page here) titled CA1 Team (x) for the team and choose, add, and caption an image.
- By Monday (3/2), the Editor should share a selection of artifacts and a 100 words to suggest a possible direction forward for the post.
By Tuesday (3/4) roughly half of the work for Collaborative Assignment #1 must be complete. Group meeting #2 supports completing this goal.
Week Eight
Mondays classes on March 2 (1.25p/EB 264 and 2.30p/EB255) will be open workshop time for everyone. Try to schedule your 2nd group meeting during that time. If your group cannot meet, be sure to check in with me f2f with questions and to show me your work.
On Wednesday we will meet during regular class time during which I will address questions that I am seeing and give guidance on completing the first draft on time (Friday, 3/6).
