  • Rhetoric: use of the available means of persuasion
    • Appeals: logos, pathos, ethos
    • Timeline: the sophists, Socrates/Plato, Aristotle
    • relationship between narrative and rhetoric
  • Index card activity on the technoliteracy narrative
    • Choose: digital platform, event, or problem
    • Narrative: 1 sentence, “It’s a story about . . . “
    • Rhetorical angle
      • Why is this story important?
      • What did you learn from it?

Hybrid activity

  • Complete CRA3
  • Submit to the W5: technoliteracy approval thread by Friday.

For next week

  • No class meeting on Monday, 9/21.
  • If your submission is approved, bring a Phase Two draft of your essay on Wednesday, 9/23; include references to 2 other sources.
  • If your submission is not approved, schedule a virtual appointment with me for Monday, 9/21, or Tuesday, 9/22, using my bookings page. Bring a new Phase One draft on Wednesday, 9/23
    • If no bookings times are open for you, DM me three times that will work for you on Mon/Tues.
  • No CRA next week.
