WRIT 3152 | Week Five, Collaboration Post 1

Per instructions given in class and groups chosen during Week Three in the #activities channel, collaborate on a Word Press post that analyzes the digital engagement strategy of a non-profit on the web in three separate areas: web site development, social media usage, and external sources (journalistic and other) on the web.

The post should be 500 words, with at least one ethically selected and cited image as the blog post header. Most copy should fall into the category of either on observation of usage or suggestion for revised usage. Use clear “smart links” to provide evidence for observations and suggestions. The audience for the analysis post should be to an internal partner referencing the NP as a client.

While not all teams will have only four members, each member should identify first as a writer/analyst (75%) and next as one of the following roles (25%):

  • project manager
  • researcher
  • editor
  • designer

The team should complete a rough draft of their post on writ3152.org before its virtual meeting with Pete on 9/21 or 9/22. The final product should be published on the site and submitted to the appropriate thread in #activities by 9/23.

In class on 9/23, we will talk through the following question as a group:

  • What did you already know, as an analyst?
  • What did you feel like you need to know more about, as an analyst?
  • What did you learn about collaboration?
  • What are your strengths (relevant to specific roles)?

Be ready for a post-collaborative survey.
